Lynn Ware Peek

After living in several Park City neighborhoods over the past four decades, my husband and I found ourselves drawn to a part of the mountains we had never called home. We moved to Brighton Estates in the fall of 2020 after building our cabin here, and we quickly fell in love with the area's natural beauty, peaceful setting, and slower pace, just beyond the bustle of Park City.

Over the years, I've come to treasure the days when I don't have to leave the mountain at all. Whether it's enjoying the quiet, spending time outdoors, or simply appreciating the incredible place we are fortunate to call home, Brighton Estates has become deeply meaningful to us.

I've always believed that strong communities depend on neighbors who are willing to contribute. While I hadn't yet been actively involved in Brighton Estates, I felt it was time to step forward and serve. I'm honored by the trust you've placed in me and will do my best to represent our community by listening carefully, seeking to understand different perspectives, and working thoughtfully and respectfully toward solutions that benefit us all.

In the early 2000s, I used to hike up to Brighton Estates often to visit friends who lived there. In 2004 an A-Frame was for sale by its original owners, and I pulled together a loan to buy it. Over the following years, I fixed it up enough for it to be livable (with running water & such) and it’s been my full time home for well over a decade. This community is always changing and evolving, and living here is an honor, and definitely never boring. Many of my neighbors have become my dearest friends.

My hope is to be able to contribute to having our community unified so people who have property here, feel heard and represented.

I own a PR & Marketing agency, Panic Button Media - and hope my communication skills and community relationships can come in handy for elevating our reputation as an incredibly talented, motivated, kind and driven neighborhood like none other. We are so lucky to know and love this wild place. I am grateful to get to live here, and to help protect it for all of us.

I’ve been grateful to call Brighton Estates home since 2012. While many know it as a mountain retreat, it has always been my full-time residence. My husband and I are raising our family here, and living in a snowbound mountain community has given me a deep appreciation for both its beauty and its unique challenges.

Professionally, I’m the Director of Operations for a local adventure company. Over the years I’ve also worked as a professional snowboarder, mountain guide, writer, yoga teacher, and gardener. Those experiences have shaped my appreciation for stewardship, thoughtful planning, resilience, and the importance of a strong community.

I’m honored to have been nominated and elected to serve on the Brighton Estates POA Board. I’m committed to listening to homeowners, communicating openly, and helping make decisions that preserve the character of our neighborhood while supporting its long-term future. I look forward to representing Brighton Estates for the special place it is.

In 2011, I moved full-time into a cabin in Brighton Estates, shortly after graduating from the U of U. At the time, I was working as a ski patroller during the day and serving food at Shabu on Main St. at night, yet still struggled to find affordable housing in town. It’s been a wild and wonderful journey; 15 years later I’m grateful to still be living in Brighton Estates, own a cabin and contributing however I can to this incredible community.

In 2020, I helped form HBCA with other neighbors to ensure safe access in the winter and preserve the over-snow tradition of travel to our properties. Professionally, I’m a photographer, marketing director, and mountain athlete. Having worked for a handful of companies in the outdoor industry, I now operate my own agency, Mars Ramp House, and continue to work part-time as a backcountry ski guide for Ski Utah.

Over the years living in Brighton Estates, I’ve learned many valuable lessons about life and what it takes to live here, perhaps the most important being that you can’t do it alone. I’m extremely grateful and proud to own an acre of land in the Wasatch, but that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of this community. I take our rights and safety as property owners seriously. I’ve joined this board to unite Brighton Estates and fight for our historical access, basic safety, and constitutional property rights as tax payers.

Sharon Hoole

I am honored to be on the Brighton Estates Board of Directors and to serve as Treasurer. I have spent many decades in this beautiful spot on the back of the Wasatch mountains. My parents bought a cabin in the meadow below the Midway Reservoir when I was a child. My husband and I purchased the cabin in 2004 and have added running water, porches, a shed, and a pavilion. Although we live in Millcreek, we and our extended family enjoy recreating at our cabin year round.

I believe that strong communities depend on being good neighbors who look out for each other. I want to listen, learn, build, and strengthen our association together. I am especially excited about working with the new board to represent our diverse neighborhood. I hope my years of experience as an office manager and bookkeeper for a law firm will be a valuable resource for the board and our entire community.

Gaylord Gardner

I am a native Utahn and grew up among the beautiful mountains and canyons of this state.
My background has been in construction, and I started working on road crews at the age of fourteen. After earning a degree in Civil Engineering, I developed a career in construction management in California, Arizona and Utah. This included work in both building and engineering projects, giving me a broad range of experience. In today’s dollars, I have overseen work worth more than a billion dollars.
My interest in Brighton Estates began when my family invested in a little A-frame cabin on an acre lot in the mountains. I was living in California at the time, but attended meetings and was elected as a director of the Association. Eventually, I was elected as president of BEPOA and served as such for several years. That era of BEPOA accomplished a lot, thanks to property owners who were willing to serve on the board and contribute their ideas and time to representing and managing the affairs of the Association.
Following a period of strife under a different Board, with leadership focused on development, the Association has begun renewal with a new board of Directors. I am grateful for your trust in making a part of that new direction. I am encouraged with the start of the new Board and ask that you join the Association and be interested in the growth and strengthening our community.
